Today we went to a folk art museum (which is really a large Chen family estate). It has beautiful wood carved roofs and building and some beautiful gardens. We also went to a beautiful park, although once again, we may have enjoyed it a bit more had it been cooler! This evening we ate at a Thai restaurant as a large group. About eight of the families went, along with our Guide. I will attach the picture of the squid dinner in a pineapple (no I did not eat it, the lady across from us ordered it!) Kaiya continues to do very well. It obviously doesn't matter where your from, it is universal that all kids think they need to push the elevator buttons and use the key card to open the door. The next several days are pretty much free for us, so we look forward to doing some shopping and exploring Shamin Island (that is the island that we, and the American Consulate is located). The kids have money burning a hole in their pockets!
OK, the squid I could do without, but that pineapple cashew rice is making me salivate!!! My absolute favorite dish from our time in Thailand and I just can't seem to replicate the flavor at home.
